Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6
This is a Messerschmitt Bf 109 G-6/R6 (gunship), armed with two additional MG 151/20 cannon mounted under each wing. The "yellow 4" was a fighter of JG 300 and based in Bonn-Hangelar, March 1944. The underside of this aircraft was completely sprayed with black paint, also the crosses. Very interesting was the camouflge on the sides of the plane (wavy lines). It is possible, that this Bf 109 was flown by Ltn. Manfred Dieterle, while he was Sqaudron Commander (Staffelkapitän) of 3./JG300.Historical Note by Bernd H. Borchert
