Messerschmitt Bf 110 G-4

This Messerschmitt Bf 110 G-4 (Werk-Nr. 160128) was a nightfighter ofIII./NJG 1. It was found abandoned in Fritzlar by US-Troops in May 1945. G9 was the squadron-code of the Nachtjagdgeschwader 1(nightfighter-squadron 1). The third group was based at Fritzlar at the end of the war. The names of the crew of G9+HT are not known. The Bf 110 G was the last version of this twin-engined fighter. Powerplant 2 × Daimler-Benz DB 605 B liquid-cooled inverted V-12, 1,085kW (1,455 HP)1,475 PS each. This Aircraft used the FuG(Funkgerät) 220Lichtenstein SN-2 which could be used even when "Düppels", the small aluminium strips for generating a cloud of false echoes, were in the air.
